Hannah Collis is a student at The University of Akron, working towards her undergrad in Instrumental Music Education. She studies under Chris Blaha in the Tuba & Euphonium studio. In addition, she is a member of the Wind Symphony and “Ohio’s Pride” Marching Band.

Hannah marched for four years at Brunswick High School. She also participated in her school’s Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pit Orchestra, Brass Choir, Commencement Band, and Summer/Winter Community Bands. In 2019, she participated in the Akron OBDC High School Honor Band. Just a few weeks later, Hannah marched with her high school band for the 2020 London New Year’s Day Parade.

Since 2017, Hannah has taught privately for both saxophone and tuba. She also works with the Highland Marching Band as a tuba instructor. After college, she looks forward to becoming a band director and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
